We climbed up, stepping sideways so we didn’t murder ourselves on our roller skates. We grabbed our things and proceeded up higher and higher, until we were in darkness. I could barely see Adrian’s face, but I found his lips easily.
We kissed, sitting next to each other on the flat wooden bleacher step. I took his lower lip on my mouth and felt carefully with my tongue for the tiny scar from his lip ring.
He pressed his tongue hungrily into my mouth as one hand came across and landed on my bare knee.
He moved his lips away from mine, and over to my ear. He took my earlobe in my mouth and gently sucked it, the way he had my thumb. My skin prickled all over, and I felt myself begin to glow with sweat.
Moving down my neck, he licked and sucked and gently bit my skin until I was moaning. I could hear the crackle of his saliva as he sucked my neck, let go, and held it again with gentle pressure.
At the same time, his hand moved slowly up my leg—trepidatiously, like the hand of a young guy trying to get to third base for the first time.
I whispered, “Are you trying to get to third base?”
He pulled his hot mouth away from my neck, the saliva evaporating and cooling my neck suddenly. To accentuate this, he blew air gently on my neck. I shuddered with pleasure at the sensation.
In the shadows, I saw him lick his lips, then say, “It would be a crime for me to skip second base.” His gaze was directly on my peaches, looking luscious and heaving from my rapid breathing.
“May I?” he asked, holding out both hands, inches from my sweater puppies.
I grabbed his hands by the wrists and brought his hands firmly to me, squeezing over his hands to get him started.
“This is heaven,” he said, squeezing them together and lowering his face to the crease, breathing deeply.
I entwined my fingers in his hair and held him tightly to me—not smothering-tightly, but firm enough to let him know I liked him touching me.
“You smell fucking unbelievable,” he said, his voice muffled.

Excerpt
My lust for her had turned to desire within seconds, and I couldn’t stand the thought of not feeling her soft skin underneath my hands. I pulled her through the living room and down the hallway by her wrist and didn’t loosen my grip until we were standing in front of my bedroom door. I pressed my hard body against hers, forcing her body to stay unmoving between me and the hard wood door. My hand slowly moved from the soft skin on her exposed thigh, to the warmth of her lower back. Her skin felt like a live wire of electricity flowing beneath my touch. I needed her. I wanted her in way that I had never thought possible. Her lips parted and I could feel her warm breath glide across my face. I dipped my head and lightly pressed my lips to her neck. The small moan that escaped her mouth was my undoing, and there was no more holding back. I was going to make her mine.

For Always by Janae Mitchell Cover Reveal

“For Always” Coming November 2013…

* Book #1 in the For Always Series *

Malyn Reed meets, and quickly falls in love with, Beau Brogan, who seems to be perfect in every way…

Except for the fact that he died in 1910…

Malyn Reed has been able to see spirits her entire life. Now that she’s almost seventeen, she has learned to differentiate between the living and the dead, making her gift feel less like an evil curse. She ignores the spirits she encounters on a daily basis, which has made living side by side with them slightly easier…until she moves to Dandridge, the second oldest town in Tennessee.

Beau Brogan was a hard working country boy from Dandridge, Tennessee who loved his family and stole the hearts of many southern belles. But all of that came to a tragic halt at the age of nineteen when his life came to an untimely end. For the past hundred years, his spirit has been entombed in a ghostly life of loneliness and misery that he wishes would just end…until the Reeds move in.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Janae has been a writer since she was old enough to hold a pencil. Her genre of choice was poetry and short stories—until now. After falling in love with so many books over the past decade, she decided that she wanted to write a novel of her own and bring life to the characters that haunt her mind. It wasn't until 2012 that she pursued that passion and started on her first YA novel. 115,000 words later, For Always was born.

Having grown up in an historical Dandridge home that was used as slave quarters during the Civil War, she experienced several things that couldn't be explained. Due to these events, she sought out and joined an investigative team called Eyewitness Paranormal. Her interest in ghosts and the unexplained, combined with her love for telling a story, made writing the For Always series inevitable.

Janae was born and raised in East Tennessee, where she currently resides with her husband, two children, and their hairless dog, Slick. In her spare time, she likes to read, play tennis, and spend time with her family on the lake.

Excerpt

Once upon a time, I was sweet and innocent. Then shit happened. The End. Maybe I should start from once upon a time... See that girl over there? Yeah, the one in the disgusting pink cardigan and matching pearl necklace? That's me...Well, that was me two years ago before the 'shit happened'. So, I guess this is where I am supposed to pour my heart out and tell you I was abused or that my father was an alcoholic. No, this is where I tell you about how two people fucked me over by fucking each other. Can you see where I am going with this? Two years ago I was going to Harvard, two years ago I was working towards a degree in politics, two fucking years ago I was engaged. My whole life had been planned out for me from an early age, my father using his 'influences' to push me into the direction he wanted me to go. No, I had no fucking say in it, I mean Jesus! My parents are politicians. I couldn't even sneeze without permission. You think in this day and age a girl might be able to choose her own future, her own path. Fuck no, not me! I had to comply with the 'master plan'. What a pile of shit! Go to Harvard. Get a degree in politics. Marry Dustin Coleman. Dustin 'fucking' Coleman, even his name is vile! Sneaky piece of shit! Yeah, even my marriage was arranged. My mother had set me up with the son of a powerful DA and naturally she was ecstatic, me? Not so much. Felicity Paxton was a politician by day and a socialite by night, only meeting with the most powerful and money hungry names in the business. She was hell bent on keeping up appearances, always keep up appearances. No hair was to be out of place, no chipped nail polish and heaven forbid no frowning. “No one likes a bride with frown lines, dear.” She would say. She was fucking delusional. I played along with their sick and twisted games to manipulate anyone and anything in their path, including me. I didn’t have a choice in the matter anyway. I was a timid twenty year old, molded by her parents to ensure appearances were met. And if they weren’t well shit, I would be disowned. There is nothing worse than a powerful politicians perfect little girl going rogue. Anyway, I’m sure you’re wondering where this timid girl went right? Cue my ex-best friend Sophia; she was the daughter of the police chief inspector so naturally we were best friends. Gag me! She was also press hungry; she would do anything to get her face in the magazines. That included becoming my best friend and maid of honor at my wedding. Look I wasn’t always the bitter bitch I am now but hell; I thought I could trust Sophia. I know she was a leech but beside that she was my best friend, someone I could trust. Or so I thought. Keeping up so far? Good. So this is where the ‘shit happened’. Hold on to your hats because this is about to get pretty ugly. “What do you mean it’s no big deal? You’re in our bed with...her!” Yeah, you guessed it I walked in on my fiance and my best friend having sex in our bed, a week before the wedding/freak show. Now, if that was me now I would have cut them a new one. But that wasn’t me; I was timid and afraid of my own damn shadow. “Come on Blaine, it’s just sex.” Just sex? Apparently I had missed the fucking memo that it was okay to fuck your best friend a week before your wedding. “You’re kidding right? How do you expect me to be okay with you sleeping with her?” Was I the only person with a moral compass here? This was not okay. “No, I expect you to do as your future husband says and just get over the fact that I have a mistress.” Oh yeah, he played that card. But what really pissed me off was Sophia, sitting on my damn bed with a smirk on her face, not even trying to cover her surgically enhanced tits. “You look surprised Blaine? It’s funny how naive you actually are. You know your father has several mistresses.” The bitch spoke, damn what I would give to go back two years and kick seven shades of shit out of her. She was right though, as much as it fucking pains me to say it, my father was a notorious player. He had a shit load of mistresses that were happy enough to drop their panties for the politician. Fucking snake. But this wasn't about my father and his que of desperate whores, this was about my fiance fucking my best friend. And what the hell I was going to do about. I know you're desperate to find out exactly what I did. Did I run to daddy? Did I lose my shit and turn evil bitch on them? No, I did exactly what my parents feared most. I went rogue.

Not Alone by Amber Nation Cover Reveal

NotAlonemock6
Releasing November 11, 2013
add-to-goodreads-button31

Synopsis

Emmalynne Morgan thought that getting married to her High School sweetheart and starting a family was all she wanted in life. Everything was perfect until circumstances change and devastating blows occur.
Fast forward five years, Emmalynne thinks she is broken, not only emotionally but physically as well, so her confidence was severely lacking. Being a single mother to her son, Tucker, as well as an owner of a small town Bookstore, she does everything she can to keep men at arms-length, not thinking she is worthy anymore with her plus-sized body and scars.
Taking it upon themselves, Emmalynne's best friends, Toby and Tessa make it their mission to bring her out of her tight-knitted comfort zone. That is when she locks eyes on the male perfection that is Grady.
Grady Finnegan was the gorgeous new guy in town. Recently injured and discharged from the Army, Grady comes to his Uncle’s aid in helping manage the family bar. Not being anywhere near innocent when it comes to women, Grady meets Emmalynne and he knows one thing, that he wants her.
Sparks fly and passion ignites, but will that be enough? Not ready to lay her heart on the line, Emmalynne guards it as best she can and ultimately fails. When chaos erupts and Grady's past comes back to haunt him, it leaves Emmalynne's already broken heart, shattered.
Will past circumstances prevent Emmalynne from having the future she deserves? Or can Grady help her follow her heart and show her that she is Not Alone.

Teaser

With her gone for a minute now was my chance to ask Tucker about this morning. “Hey Tuck, what did you mean about your mom twirling her necklace?” I asked in a muted voice, just to be sure Emmalynne wouldn’t hear me. “Man, whenever she is lying, she takes her necklace into her hand and twirls it around her fingers. I can always tell by that move what I’m getting for my birthday, it’s so awesome,” he stops to look towards the door to the garage, realizes the coast is still clear, and continues, “I’ll be like am I getting the new Lego Batman? If she says no and twirls that necklace…BOOM! Lego Batman,” he had the most devilish grin appear on his face about the same time Em came back inside through the door leading to the garage. This is very valuable information I’ve just obtained. Now I’m going to be trying to think back to see if she’s ever twirled her necklace when giving me an answer….hmm… “Tucker, my child you are relieved of your apple peeling duties, Drew’s parents are on their way here to pick you up,” Emmalynne said to Tucker, and no sooner than the words came out of her mouth he took off, leaving me stuck peeling apples without a backwards glance. Traitor.

Meet Holly

Holly S. Roberts is the bestselling author of fourteen novels, and writes under three pen names. A romantic at heart, she fell in love at the age of twelve with a boy she saw across junior high school campus. Four years later, he took notice and she never let go.
Her career in law enforcement gives her a reason to want romance, happy endings, and anything that takes her away from real life when she reads and writes. She can shoot a mean game of pool, toss back a straight shot of tequila, and recite the Gettysburg Address.
Holly lives high in the mountains in the southwest United States with her husband, Rottweiler and Chihuahua.

Excerpt

I dissolved into the seat of his amazing car. A low moan escaped my lips but Killian just showed his dimples and buckled me in. I wondered what he’d do if I pulled him tightly against me and sniffed… for an hour or two.
He opened his door and folded into the seat with absolute grace regardless of his size.
“Ah hell,” he muttered and turned my way. Unlatching my seatbelt, he pulled me in for the most mouthwatering kiss I’d ever had.
His lips, soft but firm, molded to mine. His tongue ran over my teeth, tasted, dipped deeper, and then plunged. He effortlessly slid out the elastic holding my hair before spreading his fingers to either side of my scalp. The kiss intensified and Killian made promises for the night ahead with his lips.
He tasted so damn good.
When he pulled back, I actually whimpered and smiled at the low rumbling growl that came from Killian’s throat. He took my lower lip between his teeth and pulled slightly before letting go. He put distance between us leaving me bereft.
“We’ll eat at my house.” He kissed my forehead, reached over, grabbed the seatbelt, and fastened me in again. My hands went to my hair as I looked around for the hair tie.
“Leave it.”
I stopped my search but couldn’t help running my fingers through the mussed tangles. Killian’s hand captured mine. “No.” He released my fingers just as fast as he verbalized the one word.
I wasn’t a pushover, didn’t have much experience with guys, but I had some. I should have argued, straightened my hair anyway, or even voiced some sort of displeasure. An electrically charged pulse shot straight to the junction of my thighs, and there I went and tried to stain his car’s upholstery.
I kept my mouth shut.   BookCoverPreview   hosted by: SWB Button Pink

EXCERPT -

I don’t even care that there are now three different girls talking to Reed.  I sneak up behind him and tap him on the shoulder.  He turns around and the look of shock and surprise on his face causes me to start giggling.  He turns completely around with his back to the other three girls and gives me a smile that touches his blue eyes.  His squared jaw highlights his smile perfectly.  In this instant of a moment I decide I want to kiss Reed even if it’s just for fun and to forget.“You’re kidding me.  Wow!  I can’t believe you came here.” “I told you we would.  You didn’t think I would do it, did you?” “Honestly, no, but I was hoping.  I never see you out on the weekends anymore, so this is a great surprise.” We stand there for a minute and then he orders me a beer.  I take it, but nurse it.  I’ve had a bit much already and don’t want the spins.  He asks me and Quinn to play a game of pool with him and Matt.  Matt wants to play girls against guys, but Reed says no way that he wants me on his team.  I warn him that I am not that good, but alcohol may help my case.  We play the game and I actually do pretty well.  Reed touches me every chance he gets and is very flirty.  It’s my turn and I have to bend over to make a shot, but to be honest I forget that I have a dress on.  “Shit, Katherine,” he lets out in a bit of gruff tone and walks up behind me to cover me.  I laugh at him.  “Oops, I forgot about my dress.” “You look good enough as it is and now with a dress on.  Jesus, I don’t need to get in a fight.”  He is still pressed behind me as I continue to make my shot.  I miss completely because to be honest I’m completely distracted. “I doubt anyone noticed, but thanks for protecting me.”  He steps back and I turn around.  I decide to be bold and kiss his cheek. “Trust me, you were noticed.”  He moves a piece of hair from my face and the touch sends a chill through me.  “God, you are so beautiful.”

I pull her in closer to me so that I can feel her heart beating against mine. This day has been absolutely perfect and there’s just one more thing I need to do. I pull away from her just enough so that I can look into her eyes again. “You are so beautiful to me Chloe.” I tell her and kiss her lips ever so softly. “I love you so much Derrick. No matter what we’ve been through we always make it work. You make us work. I love you.” She kisses me back but instead of a soft kiss she kisses me fiercely. I feel tears coming down our cheeks and I pull away. “Don’t cry angel. This is all for you. Everything I do is for you so that our future is perfect. Come on we have one last surprise for the night.”   ABOUT THE AUTHOR   TH Snyder          T.H. Snyder is a 33 year old mother of 2. Book Blurb:

Graduate student Autumn McShane has had her share of heartbreak. She’s been abandoned and betrayed and she lost her beloved mother in a tragic car accident five months ago. That loss damaged her body and fractured her spirit but she’s just learning to recover both until her emotionally abusive ex-boyfriend returns to town, intent on making her life miserable.
Declan Fraser hates her ex as much as Autumn does, but the last thing she needs is to put her trust in the hands of another man, especially one like Declan: his hard body and lulling Irish accent makes more than few girls weak-kneed. The talented rugby player is rude and sarcastic, with tattooed, muscular arms and a cocky attitude, but he's the only one who can help Autumn win an ill-advised bet that, if lost, could cost her more than she's willing to pay. The reluctant alliance between Declan and Autumn stirs up cravings she doesn't want to admit, but Declan is a hard man to resist.
Just when Autumn starts letting down her carefully constructed walls to the sexy bad boy, he betrays her in her moment of greatest need. Autumn suspects Declan has dark secrets, and she is determined to uncover what drove him away from her, even if that means fraternizing with the enemy. But will the truth return Declan to her arms or add to the scars on her heart?

Prologue
My mother’s skin is pale. No steady thump moves the pulse in her neck, no awareness flickers in her eyes as she stares at me. There is nothing there. She is motionless, inert.
This can’t be real.
Glass is fractured all around us, stained red with our blood, and my jeans are soaked from the torrential rain that beats against the car, through the broken windshield. I can’t stop the shaking of my limbs, the shiver of cold that has nothing to do with the temperature. Mom’s face is splotched with that same red color; thick trails of blood leak from her nose and mouth. Her hands are fractured. There are breaks that twist and bend the joints, the bones, and in the stillness of the car, against the intermittent flashes from the lightening above, I notice that my hands are like hers, except where hers are battered and bloody, mine are clean. Strange that my mind can process that we share the same thin knuckles, the same translucent skin, identical ridges that tapper at the wrist. I try to reach for her, to close her eyes, but something is piercing me and it traps me to the seat.
“Mom?” I know she won’t answer. I’ve screamed my voice raw over the past hour trying to get her to respond.
Above the din of racking rain and the drumming pulse of vicious thunder, I hear sirens, but I know that it is pointless. They’ve come too late. She is gone. I am going. My vision blurs and I can only manage to look at her, to take in the dull white in her eyes and the pallid color of her lips.
“Mom, please.” The words come out in a whisper and my head swims with a dizzy cluster of swaying vision. I am floating, falling, but I train my eyes onto her face, a tether to this life, as fleeting as it is. I try again to reach her, but I am met with resistance, some sharp unknowable thing that doesn’t allow me to move. I am helpless here, something I have always made a point to never be. But I cannot rescue her. I can’t manage to even move an inch, to touch her face, to say goodbye.
My mind surfs with desperate thoughts, impossible hopes, until the scatter of images lands on our family, years before, when we were whole, when my parents loved each other, when my father wasn’t a coward. His voice rings in my ears, him singing something old, something very Irish, and I allow myself a smile. I forget the heartbreak he caused. I forget the loneliness in our too big home, how my mother’s smile was never quite the same. The bitterness that I’ve held so near to me, so certain and full next to my heart, slips away like an unintentional whisper and I rest my head back, my eyes still trained on her face. The sounds of storms and sirens around me evaporate and I listen to my father’s voice. It is soft, like a feather, and certain like the force of a windstorm.
“Autumn my love, this song is for you.”
I close my eyes as the phantom of my father sings me into silence, into calm, into the oblivion I know is waiting.

Eden Butler is an editor and writer of New Adult Romance and SciFi and Fantasy novels and the nine-times great-granddaughter of an honest-to-God English pirate. This could explain her affinity for rule breaking and rum. Her debut novel, a New Adult, Contemporary (no cliffie) Romance, “Chasing Serenity” will launch October 2013.
When she’s not writing or wondering about her possibly Jack Sparrowesque ancestor, thinking up impossible plots, Eden edits, reads and spends way too much time watching rugby, Doctor Who and New Orleans Saints football.
